Bill of Fare started with a simple commitment: top-quality food and genuine hospitality for the Bay Area. More than 40 years later, that's still the whole story.
How it started
In 1979, a couple opened Bill of Fare in San Jose with the belief that a good breakfast, made with care, was worth showing up for every day. That belief — and those standards — haven't changed.
The second generation
Today the family's next generation runs the restaurant on Saratoga Avenue, carrying the same drive and determination forward. Same kitchen, same care — just a new set of hands keeping the tradition alive.
Family-owned, and staying that way
The plan has always been to keep Bill of Fare exactly what it is: a family restaurant, owned and run by family, rooted in this community. That's not a marketing line — it's just how they do things.
